As an EMDR trained and certified therapist, I specialize in helping adults process both complex and single event trauma. I also work with folks struggling with depression & anxiety, unhealthy boundaries & people pleasing, and general life transitions.
As a mediator, I work as a compassionate neutral party to help folks reach a mutual agreement regarding divorce, custody and/or co-parenting.
Personality, experience, and skill set vary in the mental health and mediation fields, so finding the right fit for you and your needs is essential. I'm happy to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to make sure I can provide the help you're looking for and answer your questions.
My job as a therapist is to ask questions and make observations designed to help you examine your thoughts, feelings, behavior, and core beliefs. When we increase our self-awareness and better understand how our past influences our present, we can make positive and meaningful change. For general therapy clients, my approach is trauma informed and a mix of concepts from Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapies.
While there are several evidence-based treatment options for trauma, I have chosen to use EMDR in my practice. If you are considering this therapy, I recommend Korn & Baldwin’s book Every Memory Deserves Respect: EMDR, the Proven Trauma Therapy with the Power to Heal. I am dedicated to treating traumatic injuries of any kind, with a special interest in helping folks heal from intimate partner abuse and the impact of high control religion.
Mediation is an alternative to potentially lengthy, stressful, and costly court involved resolution. It's a confidential, informal, and more cost effective way for both parties to reach a mutual agreement.
Mediation is not therapy, but my role as a mediator allows me to use the same skills therapy requires: providing calm support, empathy, active listening, and creative problem solving. Some mediation sessions can be completed in 2-3 hours; some may require a series of sessions over a period of days or weeks. Every case is unique.
Note: To remain ethical and preserve neutrality, I cannot provide mediation services to current therapy clients. Nor can I provide mediation services to former therapy clients treated by me within two years of desired date of mediation services.

I was born and raised in Little Rock, but I've called NWA home since 2013. My two kids are grown and out there doing life. I love reading, all kinds of music, documentaries, flea markets, and good food.
Throughout my social work career, I've worked with all ages in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient community mental health, and employee assistance. This has included roles as a program director, therapist, crisis interventionist, and case manager. I've also enjoyed serving as a field instructor for MSW students. I started my practice in January 2020.
My "style" is basically my personality in and out of the office. I consider myself warm but direct. I might swear a little, and I definitely appreciate humor. I also consider myself a secular professional. While I welcome clients of any (or no) faith, my practice is not based on religious doctrine.
If you are currently experiencing a mental health crisis, call/text 988, call 911, or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
